Version 4.6.0 landed on 16 September 2026 and, for once, the headline is not a weapon rebalance. It is vampires. There are also boats, a returning ocean theme, a new Arena season and an Erangel that has had some work done. Here is everything, in plain language.
The headline: Midnight Hunters
Running 16 September to 16 November on Erangel, Midnight Hunters is a vampire-hunting theme mode. The first thing you will notice is that parts of the map have been renovated: Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka all have a new look, and there are new landmarks like a Hunter Shooting Range and a Bell Tower. Golden Bat statues and Scream Crates dot the map, and there are Guild Missions and a Nightkeeper NPC.
The big twist is Bloodline Awakening. Eliminated players can come back as vampires with their own abilities: Claw Strike, Absorb, Crimson Sense and Amber Form. Yes, you can die and come back as a creature of the night. Being eliminated just got a lot less final.
The map also has PvE monsters: the Bloodwalker, the Nightbat and the Vampire Elder. And there is themed loot, such as the Hunter Bandage, Silvermoon Chain, Twilight Bat Wings, Scarlet Tonic, Crimson Pact, Moonshadow Refactor, Pumpkin Candy Box and Halloween Candy. If a player ever tells you they were killed by a Pumpkin Candy Box, believe them.
A chat about vampires
A fictional chat between two friends, Priya (new to BGMI) and Rohan (has opinions about everything). The rules and numbers are real; the banter is ours.
Priya: Wait, if I get eliminated I come back as a vampire?
Rohan: That is the Bloodline Awakening mechanic. Eliminated players can return with special abilities.
Priya: So being knocked out is... good?
Rohan: Let us say it is "less bad than usual".
Priya: And there are monsters too?
Rohan: Bloodwalkers, Nightbats and a Vampire Elder. It is basically a very stressful Halloween party.
Ocean Odyssey returns
Ocean Odyssey is back on Erangel from 30 September to 16 November. If you missed it the first time, now is the moment. Pair it with the new vehicle below for maximum splash.
New toys: boats and amphibious things
- Portable Inflatable Boat: a new vehicle for getting across water.
- Tracked Amphicarrier: added to the Custom Garage.
- Erangel map updates: interactive lockers, channel buoys, floating supply crates and parachute auto-glide.
Weapons
The update includes attribute adjustments for the ACE32 and the 7.62mm family: AKM, M762, Honey Badger, MK47 and Groza. The published notes do not tell us which way the numbers moved, so check the in-game notice for the exact values before you rebuild your loadout around it.

Update, 25 October
If you are chasing Arena Ranked rewards, the season ends on 29 October, which is four days away as this goes live. Midnight Hunters and Ocean Odyssey both run until 16 November, so there is plenty of vampire time left.
Quick tips (not official, just sensible)
- Play the new mode with a squad. Guild Missions are more fun with friends.
- Check the in-game notice for the weapon changes before ranked.
- Use the boat for a different approach to water-heavy zones.
